Are the fuel prices live?
Fuel prices come from Service Victoria and are published with an approximately 24-hour delay. A displayed price is useful for comparison, but it is not guaranteed to be the price available when you arrive. Confirm directly with the station before making a special trip.
Does the cheapest pump price always make the cheapest stop?
No. A lower pump price can be outweighed by the fuel and time needed for a detour. The journey planner compares the route distance, estimated travel time, fuel used on the journey and the selected fill amount to help identify a better-value stop.
How do fuel-card and receipt discounts work?
You can enter your own cents-per-litre discount without providing a card or account number. Card discounts apply only where that card is listed as accepted, and eligible discounts do not stack—the highest applicable discount is used. Acceptance and eligibility must still be confirmed with the station and discount provider.
Can I compare fuel stops along a journey?
Yes. Enter a starting point and destination in the journey planner. Fuel Finder VIC uses HERE routing where available to compare stops near the route, including estimated detour distance, detour time and total trip-and-fill cost. Truck requests include the selected height, width, total length, gross weight and axle weight. Routes remain planning aids and must not replace legal, safety or road-condition checks.
Can I search for truck-friendly, B-double or high-flow diesel sites?
These filters unlock when the current search contains station details supplied by a configured source or confirmed through a reviewed update. A disabled option has no confirmed records yet. Missing information means unconfirmed, not unavailable. Drivers must confirm legal access, clearance, mass limits, turning space and facilities directly.
Why can’t I see AdBlue or amenity information at every station?
Service Victoria does not currently provide AdBlue as a priced fuel product in the records used by Fuel Finder VIC, so it is not shown in the fuel-price selector. AdBlue availability, cards, amenities and heavy-vehicle details remain separate station filters that unlock where the detail has been confirmed. Fuel Finder VIC does not invent missing information.
What if Use my location does not work?
Location permission can be unavailable or blocked by the device or browser. Type a Victorian suburb or town into Centre your local search and select the matching suggestion instead. This provides an accurate centre without sharing precise device location.
Are my discounts, favourites and searches private?
Saved preferences, discounts, observed prices, favourites and private station notes stay in your browser. Fuel Finder VIC does not ask for fuel-card or customer account numbers. Typed locations are sent to HERE only when needed to locate an area or calculate a route.
How can I report incorrect station information?
Open a station from the result list and use the site-update option, or leave a general suggestion on the homepage. Submissions are kept private for moderation and never change public information automatically.
