Fuel Finder VIC is a free planning website for Victorian motorists, touring drivers and professional road users. It compares published fuel-price information with location, route cost and confirmed station features—without selling the rankings.

Why Fuel Finder VIC exists
A lower board price does not automatically create the lowest-cost stop. The fuel and time used on a detour, the amount being purchased, an eligible personal discount and whether the station suits the vehicle can all matter.
The website brings those considerations into one public tool while keeping the first search simple. Visitors can search a Victorian suburb, view statewide published prices, browse regional guides or compare stops along a full journey.
How results are calculated
- Local searches use an adjustable square centred on the chosen Victorian suburb or town.
- Price sorting uses the selected fuel’s published or privately observed price, then applies the highest eligible personal discount.
- Eligible discounts never stack, and named-card discounts apply only where acceptance is listed.
- Journey comparisons calculate a baseline road route, add candidate stations as waypoints and compare estimated distance, time, journey fuel and fill cost.
- Brand, truck, amenity and card filters exclude records where the required detail has not been confirmed.

Data sources and limitations
Fuel-price information comes from the State of Victoria through Service Victoria and is published with an approximately 24-hour delay. Fuel Finder VIC identifies the source and its delay beside results.
The public price feed does not provide complete card, amenity, opening-hour or heavy-vehicle access information for every station. Fuel Finder VIC does not turn an unknown field into a claim that a feature is unavailable.

Minimal data by design
Personal preferences, saved stations, private notes, observed prices and discounts are stored on the visitor’s device. Precise current location and journey addresses are not saved as preferences. Anonymous usage totals are deliberately broad and time-limited.
Suggestions are held privately for moderation and never publish automatically. Commercial enquiries are separate and collect business contact information only with the sender’s agreement.

Advertising stays outside the rankings
Fuel Finder VIC may offer clearly labelled enhanced station information, area sponsorships or a statewide sponsorship. Paid placements must remain separate from organic price, distance and filter results.

The principles behind the service
Independent results
Cheapest, nearest and filtered station rankings are calculated from the selected search, published data and the visitor’s own settings. Payment never buys a higher organic ranking.
Known facts only
Truck access, AdBlue, high-flow diesel, cards, hours and amenities are shown only when supplied by a configured source or confirmed through a reviewed update. Missing information means unconfirmed.
Private personalisation
Saved filters, favourites, observed prices and personal discount settings remain in the visitor’s browser. Fuel Finder VIC does not ask for fuel-card or customer-account numbers.
Corrections, media and public contact
Report station information through the moderated update option, leave a non-personal suggestion on the homepage, or contact the owner for public, media and partnership enquiries.
